Our Opportunity: Boiler Engineer
Status: Part Time
Hours: 12-hour shift - 6a-6p, [6p-6a].
Schedule: As Needed
Compensation: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience
[Plus, a $2.00 night shift differential if applicable]
Summary
This is position is responsible to maintain operation and upkeep of the Boilers Room.
What You Will Be Doing
- Maintains operation of boilers and assisting with Cooling tower checks.
- Monitors Steam output and quality.
- Performs necessary water testing chemical testing.
- Performs periodic equipment checks as required and recommended.
- Perform minimum maintenance repairs as qualified.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer.
- Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety
What You Need to Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1st Class B Boiler license
- 3-5 years' experience with appropriate boiler operation comparable to boilers on-site here
- Must have thorough knowledge of high-pressure steam boilers and all safety and operational procedures for such boilers and heat exchangers
- May be required to work and direct in confined spaces and work with high pressure steam use of computer, writing, and filing records
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and use in customer portals
Job Setting
This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods and walking on occasionally slippery floors. Primarily works in office setting, may spend time in the production/warehouse environment.
Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.
The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.
Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Vision required: distance, close, color, peripheral and depth perception
- Extended standing on hard surfaces.
- Frequently required to stand, talk or hear, use hands feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Regular standing and sitting for extended periods of time
