Ingredient Control Technician - Lead

JOB TITLE: Ingredient Control Lead

Position Summary: Through the Batching Manager and Supervisor, this position is in charge of all Ingredient Control pre-weigh processes during their shift. This position is also responsible for keeping the Manager and other management informed of the above process in addition to being the liaison between the company and customer. This position is responsible to lead kit assembly for the production plant including pre-weigh ingredients, track inventory, and follow detailed instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Being sensitive to Confidentiality Agreements, works as liaison between the company and customer.
• Monitors activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift.
• Trains and leads, as well as communicates effectively with all co-workers.
• Works to minimize change over time.
• Ensures that every detail and specification of each product is met.
• Ensures co-workers follow recipes and directions, "to the letter."
• Oversees kitting, preparation for kitting, movement to storage and all associated record keeping.
• Ensures FEFO (First Expired First Out) is being followed with all ingredient consumption.
• Responsible to evaluate and make suggestions for the continuous improvement of processes in area of responsibility.
• Must learn and apply new processes and procedures in area of responsibility.
• Ensures all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and working properly at peak efficiency.
• Pre-weigh Ingredients following customer specific recipes.
• Maintains cleanliness of areas responsible for.
• Monitors activities in area of responsibility at all times during shift.
• Assists in conducting physical counts on customer owned inventories
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• 1-3 years' experience in a Production environment is preferred, but not required.
• Extended standing on hard surfaces.
• Regular bending, stooping and lifting up to 60lbs.
• May be required to work and direct in confined spaces and work with high pressure steam
• Will work around noise, dust, variable temperatures and use of production chemicals
• Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors.
