Batching Compliance Analyst

Technical | Location: Cold Spring, MN

Position Summary:
This position provides verification and administrative support to the Batching areas in the effort to efficiently and effectively meet all internal and external compliance requirements of Cold Spring Brewing Company.

Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verifies for correctness and accuracy all batching kits prior to being shipping to the main plant. Attention to detail and good math skills are required for this position.
  • Assists with inventory accuracy for CSBC and customers.
  • Assists in the coordination, monitoring and testing of all Vendors to meet Quality/Compliance expectations for products they provide.
  • Assists in working with manufacturing in designing and enhancing quality management systems to facilitate overall regulatory compliance.
  • Assists the Batching Compliance Analyst Lead in serving as liaison with all compliance issues.
  • Verification of ingredient quantites during kit stage in DC batching area. Must be able to lift 55 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Organoleptic analysis of all supplied ingredients.
  • All other duties as assigned or required by the manager or customer.

Typical Physical Demands:
This position will work primarily in a production setting. Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors. Occasional lifting of up to 55 lbs. may be required.

Typical Working Environment:
This position works in both a production environment which includes high-speed equipment and damp floors. Noise, dust, and variable temperature and use of production chemicals is also typical in this work environment. May be required to travel to other company, customer and vendor locations.

Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in appropriate field or comparable experience.
  • 1-3 years production or quality compliance experience leading and directing in a high speed production environment.
  • This position requires above average verbal and written communication Thorough knowledge of production operations, including all safety requirements. Must have a strong mechanical background, be goal oriented, and be able to work independently. Must also have good math and science skills, exceptional organization skills and be detailed oriented. Must be able to direct and lead people, and must be able to work effectively with all levels of personnel. Must have thorough knowledge of wide variety of computer software, and all aspects of Spreadsheet creation and analysis.
